What Organizations Are Saying

Greta Coe, Oregon Health Authority

Her passion for the work was evident throughout, and the
insights she shared were incredibly valuable. Participants left the session feeling energized and
ready to apply what they learned in their own work.

Dr. Koepp’s presentation to Oregon’s behavioral health professionals was both informative and deeply inspiring.

Dr. Regina Koepp’s keynote at our conference was absolutely beautiful—

heartfelt, inspiring,
and incredibly engaging. We received such wonderful feedback, and it was clear her message made a real impact on everyone in the room.

Anika Bachofen, Training Coordinator, SASH – Support and Services at Home,
Cathedral Square

Dr. Regina Koepp’s presentation was inspirational—

engaging, clear, and deeply relevant to our work.

Participants left with practical, evidence-based tools they could use immediately, and
I’m confident they’ll make a real difference for all of us as we age.

Erin Eggert, MS, EP-C, Deputy Director, Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging (WIHA)

How Training Your Staff Benefits Your Organization

A 2020 study of  489 mental health providers found  that providers had
less confidence assessing and treating older adults with cognitive disorders than older adults generally — with high need for additional training identified across nearly every clinical competency area (Mitchell, et al, 2020).

Fewer unaddressed crises can mean fewer ER visits and hospitalizations tied to untreated mental health needs.

Reduced strain on high-cost services.

Staff who can recognize and respond to mental health needs in older adults help prevent the downstream consequences above.

Better outcomes for the people you serve.

A growing number of states require training specific to older adults or dementia care for licensure or renewal — staying ahead reduces compliance risk.

Regulatory alignment.

Training closes the competence gap documented above, replacing uncertainty with clinical confidence.

A more confident, better-equipped workforce.

We manage CE credit tracking, so your organization gets specialized training and required continuing education in one investment.

CE credits your staff already need.

Specialized training signals investment in your team in a field facing well-documented workforce shortages.

A staff development differentiator.

I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a Stanford-trained, clinical Geropsychologist and founder of the Center for Mental Health & Aging. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked with older adults and their families in some of the largest health care systems in the nation, including Stanford, Emory, and the Veterans Health Administration.

I’ve seen firsthand how hard it can be for older adults to find mental health providers who are truly trained to help them. The majority of older adults with mental health concerns do not receive the mental health care they need. The result? Worse medical outcomes, higher health care costs, family strain, and needless suffering.

That’s why I created the Center for Mental Health & Aging: to make sure you—and all mental health, health care, and aging services professionals—have the tools you need to meet the mental health needs of older adults.

It’s only with your help that we will improve mental health care for older adults. So, join our movement for Mental Health + Aging. Explore our courses, deepen your expertise with older adults, and join a community that believes there’s no expiration date on healing, transformation, and love.

Welcome!
I'm Dr. Regina Koepp
