I bring dedicated clinical training in late-life relational and trauma care to every session with older adults and their families. My certifications in dementia care (ECDCS) and trauma (CPT, CCTP-II), combined with specialized training in nutrition and its relationship to mental health (CMNCS), reflect my commitment to understanding the whole person — not just the presenting concern. Older adults navigating major transitions, cognitive changes, grief, caregiver strain, or decades-old relational patterns will find a clinician who has trained specifically to meet them where they are.
About My Approach
I am a trauma-informed Marriage and Family Therapist trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO), with a particular lens on transition and reinvention — the kind of profound identity shifts that often accompany later life. I also employ Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
When trauma takes up residence inside us, it touches every relationship — including the one we have with ourselves. The responses that helped us survive difficult times are not weaknesses; they are remarkable adaptations. And yet those same protective patterns show up in our closest relationships: in how near we let people get, in how we fight, in how we disappear. Recognizing the desire for something different is where we begin.
My clinical work centers on the intersection of trauma and relationships. Whether the presenting concern is named as trauma, relationship difficulty, life transition, dementia caregiving, or something harder to articulate, I follow the same thread: how our history shapes our present, and how healing happens when we bring real attention to that connection.
