Older adults deserve high quality mental health care.
Therapists deserve the training to provide that care.

Pursuing a later-life career, I earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016, and worked on inpatient units in behavioral health settings, and as an outpatient counselor leading small and large therapy and psychoeducation groups, before establishing LifeStory Collaborative Counseling. I was trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, which emphasizes the role our significant early relationships and life experiences may play in what we find challenging today. In addition, I have participated in the Relational Psychodynamic Therapy certificate program through the Contemporary Psychodynamic Institute, and have completed advanced-level work in Relational Gestalt Therapy, as well as training in Mentalization-Based Treatment.
Therapy with me offers you an invitation to consider who you are and how you feel: about your past, your present, and your envisioned future. My work is grounded in the belief that therapy is not simply about being listened to – it is about being truly heard. Together, we will explore your attachments, beliefs, and personal history with curiosity and care, helping you better understand your circumstances, and the story you are living now. I provide a compassionate environment of listening and therapeutic support in which you can feel free to share and consider your unique life story, thoughts and feelings, completely welcome to be yourself and to share or not share whatever is on your heart and mind.
I bring a reader and a writer’s creativity and insight to my work, and sometimes use metaphor and humor in sessions. I respond with empathy to the emotions, longings, and needs emerging from this moment in my clients’ circumstances. I’m not a blank slate; instead, I join my clients wherever they are. As a daughter, a sister, friend, wife, mother, and caregiver to family members at all stages of life and health, I’ve been there.
I believe therapy is a process built on trust, respect, and genuine connection. My goal is to provide a safe, accepting and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your concerns, gain insight, and move toward greater well-being.
Life can bring unexpected changes, difficult emotions, and challenges that feel overwhelming to navigate alone. I provide individual counseling for adults seeking support with life transitions, aging-related concerns, chronic or life-limiting health diagnoses, caregiver stress, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and questions of identity and self-worth. Additionally, I offer therapy for individuals or partners navigating communication challenges, life changes, or shifting needs within meaningful relationships. Support and therapy groups around specific life experiences, transitions, or emotional challenges related to aging, caregiving, grief and loss are offered on a rotating and ongoing basis.
