Older adults deserve high quality mental health care.
Therapists deserve the training to provide that care.

Aging can bring changes that are rarely confined to one part of life. Health, independence, relationships, identity, grief, caregiving, purpose, and the ways we think about the future can become increasingly interconnected. I provide online psychotherapy for older adults who want a place to make sense of these experiences while remaining recognized as whole people with strengths, histories, preferences, and lives that extend far beyond a diagnosis.
I work with concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, chronic illness and pain, grief and loss, suicidal thoughts, changes in health or functioning, major life transitions, loneliness and isolation, identity, self-worth, and questions of meaning and purpose. My background across behavioral health, healthcare, collaborative care, hospice, and private practice has given me experience working where emotional well-being, physical health, family systems, and changing care needs intersect.
My therapeutic foundation is person-centered, which means I begin by trying to understand your experience rather than assuming what aging, illness, loss, or change means to you. Treatment is collaborative and may draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-informed practices. Depending on your needs, our work might involve processing difficult experiences, adapting to change, developing practical coping skills, working with painful thoughts and emotions, strengthening self-compassion, clarifying what matters to you, or finding ways to remain connected to meaning and quality of life.
I believe older adults deserve mental health care that respects autonomy, dignity, identity, and accumulated life experience. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity affirming, disability affirming, and trauma-informed. Therapy is individualized around your goals, values, abilities, circumstances, and preferences rather than assumptions about what later life is supposed to look like.
