Hello – my name is Christina DeFilippis. I am a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am also credentialed with a Professional Educator License (PEL) to work in the school setting.  Throughout my career, I have worked in schools, hospitals (medical and psychiatric), emergency rooms, nursing homes, sub acute rehabilitation, assisted living communities and memory care.  I have helped numerous clients cope with depression, memory loss, trauma, loss of loved ones, anxiety, relationship issues, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD) and other emotional challenges.  My goal is to listen to my clients needs, help identify the problem, and find solutions together. My therapeutic approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy and a collaborative problem-solving approach.

A successful therapist is supportive, kind, caring and nonjudgmental which leads the therapist and client to trust each other and build a rapport with one another. We all go through difficult times in our lives and sometimes we need support in navigating through those difficult moments.
